[Food logging and Nutriscore](https://support.shido.com/knowledge/features-within-shido?hsLang=en#food-logging-and-nutriscore) # What is Nutriscore? ## Nutriscore is calculated daily, based on the % of macros, vitamins and minerals consumed. The closer the score is to 100%, the higher the reccomended daily allowances of macros and micros have been consumed. The reasoning behind the score is to encourage users to be eating a plethora of vitamins and minerals, which can have great health benefits which would be overlooked if calories and weight were only considered. The score takes into consideration logging over the RDA of saturated fat, sugar and carbs, deducting weighting for consuming too much of these. In order to show you how this relates to the focus areas used in the Shido app, we have broken this down into specific scores in the Nutriscore tab. Tapping on this score shows you the % of the macro/micro consumed in each of these areas.
